Research Interests
My interest centers around the integration of classroom technology and student laboratory experiences in the field of medical laboratory science. I am interested in exploring how digital tools, virtual simulations, and innovative learning platforms can be used to educate and train future medical laboratory professionals.
Additionally, I am exploring how medical laboratory science concepts can be effectively
communicated, visualized, and disseminated via storytelling. Specifically, I aspire
to create narratives in the form of comics that are both entertaining and educational.
The comics focus specifically on the bacteria and fungi that impact human health.
I hope to demonstrate the potential of comics as a legitimate educational tool that can
be used to communicate the processes involved in identifying and studying different
microorganisms in the laboratory. This includes their terminology, taxonomy, epidemiology,
modes of transmission, pathogenesis, and morphology. By presenting this content in
an engaging and accessible manner, I hope to inspire future generations of healthcare
professionals while increasing public awareness and understanding of this critical
profession.
