Practice Areas
John Simon was born in St. Louis, and he received both his undergraduate (1983) and law degree (1986) from Saint Louis University. Since 1986, John has specialized in civil litigation and tried numerous cases to verdict in various jurisdictions. On two occasions, John has won trials resulting in the highest verdicts in the State of Missouri. Many of the cases he has handled have been reported by regional and national news media.
John's national practice includes Product Liability, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice,
Wrongful Death, Business Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Class Action,
Mass Torts, Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts. John has successfully litigated
complex business litigation matters, cases involving carbon monoxide poisoning, natural
gas explosions, gasoline explosions and fires. He has handled products liability cases
involving different issues of automotive crash worthiness, including fuel system integrity,
vehicle stability and passenger restraint cases.
John has written and lectured on a variety of aspects of civil trial practice.
Professional Organizations and Associations
John is a sustaining member of the American Association for Justice, and since 1991 he has served on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2011 and The Inner Circle of Advocates in 2014.
