Faculty Development

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development provides opportunities at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine for faculty to enhance their repertoire of skills with a focus on career enhancement, leadership skill development, mentoring and work-life integration.

Each year, our office sponsors several SLU faculty members to attend conferences such as the AAMC Early-Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar, AAMC Mid-Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar, and the AAMC Mid-Career Minority Faculty Leadership Seminar.

Professional development programming also occurs throughout the year. Examples of past programs include Forming and Sustaining a Successful Research Team, Getting Promoted at SLU School of Medicine, Prepare More Successful Oral Presentations, and Negotiation: Conflict Resolution and Gender Bias.

For more information on future programming and conference sponsorship, be on the lookout for emails from our office.
