Cooperstein did her undergraduate and graduate research at the Center for Biomedical
Engineering at UNM, where she researched fabrication and cytotoxicity of thermoresponsive
substrates for tissue engineering. She also studied the mechanism of cell detachment
from these substrates.
Publications and Media Placements
During her studies, she authored four articles (first author on three), including a feature article in Langmuir, a premier materials science journal.
Honors and Awards
She is a recipient of the highly competitive National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship awarded to top U.S. graduate students.
