Steven Buckner, Ph.D.

Research Interests

Buckner's research efforts are directed towards development and application of novel nanomaterials and nanocomposites. The two principle applications for his nanocomposites include:

  1. Energy science: Buckner and his research group are working on novel high energy density nanomaterials with large hydrogen production capacities and with applications as pyrolants
  2. Biomedical materials: Buckner is working on a variety of nanocomposites for use in micro-CT imaging and tissue engineering.
