ie Hou received his M.A. in Statistics in 2014, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2019 from University of Missouri-Columbia. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Shanghai Maritime University in 2012. His research is mainly focused on developing data-driven computational methods (particularly machine learning, deep learning, and computational optimization methods) for protein structure and function prediction. In addition, he is interested in developing data mining methods to analyze omics (i.e. RNA-seq transcriptomics and genomics) data to study genes and gene networks.
