More COVID-19 Vaccines Are on the Way
March 5, 2021
Dear SLU faculty, staff and students,
We are thrilled to announce that SLU has received many more doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine thanks to the tremendous support of the Missouri National Guard.
Starting next week, we will begin hosting several additional vaccine clinics to help distribute about 1,900 doses of vaccine. This is very exciting for SLU, and hopefully indicative of more opportunities to come.
Please fill out this survey we sent to the community Wednesday.
This survey helps us identify who has been vaccinated and who wants to be on the list for future clinics. It also helps us narrow down who fits into which prioritization phase/tier according tostate guidance.
Reminder: We willnottell you which phase/tier you fit into. Please review the guidance prior to making that discernment. Some of the details from the state are open-ended and we rely on you to determine where you fit based on your personal circumstances.
We will send additional information and registration to those in the top tiers in the coming days, and work our way through the list of eligible faculty, staff and students.
We wanted to share a few frequently asked questions over the past few days:
- Does it matter if I live in Illinois or Missouri? No. As long as you’re employed by SLU or are a student at SLU, we can vaccinate you.
- What about my high-risk loved one? We hope to offer vaccinations to high-risk family members and loved ones at a later
date, but right now we are only vaccinating SLU community members.
- Where do I find my Banner ID (for employees)? It’s in Workday, listed as your employee ID.
- What if I am an adjunct faculty member, part-time employee or part-time student? What if I work on campus, but am not employed by SLU (such as a Sodexo or contract employee)? You are very much a member of this community and we welcome you filling out the survey so we can get you on our list.
Thank you for the continued enthusiasm. This is a great thing for SLU, and we are thrilled to share it with you. As always, please emailpandemic@slu.eduwith any questions.
Stay safe and be well.
