Tutoring
Tutoring at Saint Louis University follows a peer-tutoring model. Tutors are SLU students who have taken and done well in the courses they are tutoring and have received a faculty recommendation. Tutoring is typically offered in one-on-one sessions but may be offered in small groups for some classes.
Tutoring appointments can be scheduled through EAB Navigate.
For questions about tutoring, please contact tutoring.si@slu.edu.
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides group study sessions for select large lecture classes at SLU. SI leaders have previously taken the course and done well, and as SI leaders, they attend the same class sessions with students and use their experience in lecture to create weekly review sessions.
Supplemental Instruction sessions are available in the fall and spring semesters for select large lectures in the following subject areas:
- Anatomy
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
No appointment is necessary.
For questions about Supplemental Instruction, please contact tutoring.si@slu.edu.
University Writing Services
University Writing Services (UWS) assists students in becoming more confident writers.
