Saint Louis University's Division of Marketing and Communications is an accomplished and award-winning group of strategic and creative professionals dedicated to showcasing the University’s Jesuit mission, academics, life on campus, research and community outreach.
We place the ads you see and hear online, in print, and on TV and the radio. We promote the University in the media and social media, manage SLU's website, write and design publications such as Newslink and Universitas, and maintain the University's brand, logos and design standards.
The division focuses its work on supporting these main areas:
- Student and patient recruitment
- Fundraising
- SLU brand awareness and reputation
- Effectively communicating to both internal and external audiences
We also consult with other units on their marketing plans. And we use the University’s buying power to ensure all marketing units get the best prices for advertising.

Editing the University's Website
Full-time Saint Louis University employees, with their supervisor's approval, may be responsible for maintaining pages on slu.edu via the University's content management system (CMS). Students, including student interns, may not have access to the CMS. Users are responsible for contributing high-quality written and visual material that aligns with the content strategy for slu.edu. In becoming a CMS user, you partner with the Division of Marketing and Communications. After completing the training course and passing a quiz, users must also fill out an agreement to use slu.edu appropriately.
