The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) serves as the governing board for historically Black fraternities and sororities at Saint Louis University. NPHC is also referred to as “The Divine Nine,” or “D9”, which were founded with ties to the traditions and values of Black culture.
Being a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council requires high academic excellence and striving for scholarship. While their values celebrate and support the Black experience, SLU's NPHC organizations are inclusive to members of all identities. Many of our NPHC organizations are citywide chapters, which means they are identified as collegiate chapters with two or more participating colleges and/or universities.
